“ La Risata serves authentic Italian food. The fact that they have been around for years is a testament to how good the food is here. I usually head to La Risata when I'm looking for a nice quiet dinner with full flavours. This place never disappoints. My favourite here is the salmon ravioli. Not easy to get anywhere else, and always delectable. The lasagna is also another firm favourite. It always tastes fresh, unlike some places you go to where it feels very obvious that it just got out of the microwave. Here's to many more times dining out at La Risata! ”
“ La Risata, meaning 'the laughter' in Italian is an Italian restaurant located within the housing neighbourhood. For customers who are a huge fan of Italian cuisine, I definitely recommend this restaurant. I have paid over 10 visits to the restaurant and until now I can't find a single dish on the menu that I disliked. So once you are seated, you are served with slices of freshly baked baguettes paired with smooth olive paste. Then, during my last visit, I had the 'Insalata Peperoni Arrostiti E Mozarella' (RM18) to start. It is a mixed leaf salad that is served with sweet roasted red peppers, a huge generous serving of fresh creamy mozarella cheese, drizzled with a sweet and savory anchovy pesto dressing and crunchy croutons. If you are planning to give this salad a try, my advice for you is to share it with your friends/family/boyfriend/girlfriend/dog/cat (anyone). Reason being is because the mozarella ball is similar to a size of a huge ice cream scoop. So, imagine eating one huge ice cream scoop of creamy mozarella cheese on your own. Then the meal followed up with 'Gnocchi Al Gamberi' (RM22). This was my F-A-V-O-U-R-I-T-E. It consist of fluffy and chewy bite-sized potato dumplings that is sautéed with fresh prawns and flavourful herb butter. The gnocchi (potato dumpling) had a crispy exterior from the sautéing and a moist interior. The herb butter gave it a beautiful balance between an earthy and salty flavour. Definitely recommend it! As I went there with my family (4 of us in total), we also ordered 'Spaghetti Con Arragosta' (RM38). Another big Y-U-M. It is spaghetti noodles served in a tomato base sauce, juicy lobster meat, toasted garlic and topped with chilli and olive oil. Words can't describe how delicious this is. The spaghetti was cooked to perfection (chewy texture). The lobster meat was fresh and mind you that they were very generous with their serving. Every ingredient complemented one another. You could taste the sweetness from the tomato, the 'umami' flavour from the lobster and the smokiness from the toasted garlic. Absolutely delicious. We finished off with 'Petto Di Manzo Con Vino Rosso' (RM45). All you meat lovers, you need to give this a try. It is a wood fired oven roasted beef ribs that is drizzled with a rich reduced red wine sauce and placed onto a bed of creamy mashed potatoes. The meat was so tender until it falls apart from just 'poking' it and not to forget that it melts in your mouth. The red wine sauce was the perfect pair to the meat. The mashed potatoes! Wow. It is fluffy, creamy and smooth. You could definitely taste the butter that melted with the potatoes. YUM YUM YUM. I didn't give the desserts a try as we were stuffed by the end of the last meal. I also recommend pairing your food with wine (that's if you enjoy drinking wine). Every month, La Risata has a promotion on their recommended red and white wine where it is priced at RM110 per bottle. So far, I realised that they do not serve pork but however they do serve alcohol. Reviewing about my meal makes me salivate at the thought of it. I know that I am definitely heading back for more, what about you? If you are interested, it is located right behind Victoria's Station. You will not miss it. ”
